A Blue-Tiful Thanksgiving Brunch: Tablescape Ideas & Hosting Tips for Fall 2025

Mixing blue linen napkins with warm fall tones for a fresh take on Thanksgiving style.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year—not just for the food (hello, stuffing!) but also for the chance to pause and truly reflect on all the things I’m grateful for. This year, inspired by cozy blue Thanksgiving tablescape ideas, I created a warm and inviting setting to celebrate family, friends, and the everyday little blessings that make life richer.

This year, my hubbie and I hosted a celebratory Thanksgiving Brunch that gave me the chance to show some love to the people who have poured so much into my life and made it so much richer.

The design actually started with a gorgeous table runner gifted to me by a friend, featuring beautiful blue tones that inspired the entire look. I loved how the blue brought a fresh, unexpected twist to the warm fall palette and set the tone for a cozy yet modern Thanksgiving tablescape.

Setting the Scene: Double the Tables, Double the FUN

With more guests than could fit at a single table, we set up two tables in a T-shape. I love doing this—it keeps the conversation flowing and ensures no one has their back to anyone.

Each table had a slightly different look, but the overall theme stayed consistent. It all started with a gorgeous table runner gifted by a friend. I pulled the color palette from that one piece and ran with it (pun intended 😄).

The secret to hosting a bigger crew? A T-shaped setup that keeps everyone in the conversation.

Table Linens:  Mixing Old with New

  • White tablecloths – These are actually thick bed covers from Turkey that my mom gave me years ago. I love the texture! I found a similar style on Amazon, but any white tablecloth will get the job done.
  • Table #1 – Featured the gifted table runner in warm fall tones. (Similar to this.)
  • Table #2 – Had a printed cloth with a similar color scheme, which helped tie both tables together.
  • Blue linen napkins – tied the two tables together, adding a cool pop of color that balanced perfectly with the warm fall tones in the linens and runner. This subtle blue accent made the tablescape feel uniquely fresh for Thanksgiving.

Hosting Tip: Your table settings don’t have to be matchy-matchy. As long as you carry elements (like napkins or florals) across the tables, they’ll feel coordinated and intentional.  Amazon has great options as does Home Goods or Target.

Similar but not identical — these tables work together to create a relaxed and inviting outdoor setting
Mixing everyday flatware with stylish disposable plates for a polished but practical tablescape.

Tableware:  Elegant, Easy, and Budget-Friendly

  • Clear plastic plates with gold rims – So pretty, and no dishes to wash!
  • Blue glassware(Similar option here.) The perfect touch of color that complemented the napkins and tied back to the runner’s blue hues. Paired with clear plates and everyday flatware, the tableware brought together style and practicality for a chic, easy-to-clean setup.
  • Everyday flatware – I went with our usual silverware for a little weight and polish. Gold flatware would’ve worked beautifully, too.

Yes, you can absolutely go all-in with disposable for ease, but sometimes mixing in real flatware gives your setup a bit more presence—and honestly, the dishwasher does the hard part anyway.

Fresh florals styled to complement the blue and fall tones of the tablescape.

Floral Arrangements: Fall, But Make It Fresh

Trader Joe’s is my go-to for flowers, and while I didn’t pre-order, I lucked out with a beautiful mix that worked perfectly with my blue + fall color scheme.

Here’s what I used:

  • Bubble vase – From my Entertainment Arsenal
  • Flowers – Jumbo mums, dahlias, veronicas, white and pink filler, deep-hued carnations, lilies, and eucalyptus
  • Aspidistra ribbon – Wrapped around the vase base for a polished finish

The blue accents throughout the table helped balance the warmth of the fall florals and pumpkin decor, creating a harmonious mix of cool and cozy elements.

Table Decor: Fall-Inspired with a Twist

I kept things simple but layered in texture and personality:

  • Artificial pumpkins – A mix of collected styles over the years
  • Mini white real pumpkins – Added depth and natural vibes
  • Artificial acorns – Snagged on clearance from Michael’s a couple of years back
  • Metal turkey tea lights – Honestly, star of the show! Super affordable and full of charm. These little guys got a ton of compliments.

Hosting tip: You can use the turkey tea lights with candles, or get creative—add candy, a mini treat, or even a name card to make them multifunctional.

Combining faux and real elements with whimsical turkey tea lights creates a festive, layered tablescape.
Wrapped with care, these favors are a sweet reminder of the season’s gratitude.

Thoughtful Party Favors: Gratitude in a Bag

  • Maple leaf cookies – Found these cute, fall-themed cookies and knew they were the one.  (Check out your local Trader Joe’s, Target or Home Goods!)
  • Cellophane bags – Always on hand in my Entertainment Arsenal
  • Custom tags – Printed “Grateful for You!” on white cardstock in blue, then used my tag punch + hole punch to finish them off
  • Twine – Perfectly rustic and seasonal

Final Thoughts: Giving Thanks, in Style

This Thanksgiving brunch was such a joy to put together, especially with the unique blue touches that made the tablescape feel fresh and personal.  It reminded me of what this season is really about—gathering, gratitude, and celebrating life’s blessings. Whether you go all-out or keep it super simple, the heart of hosting is showing love.
